Marine Operations Manager / Marine Engineer


Location: The Bahamas

Compensation: $60,000 USD (tax-free) + gratuities

We are recruiting on behalf of an exclusive luxury private island resort in The Bahamas seeking an experienced Marine Operations Manager / Marine Engineer to oversee all marine operations and fleet maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class hospitality destination where exceptional service, attention to detail, and operational excellence are at the heart of the guest experience.


The successful candidate will take ownership of the resort's marine fleet and watersports operations, ensuring all vessels and equipment are maintained to the highest standards while supporting unforgettable guest experiences through transfers, excursions, and marine activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all marine operations and the maintenance of the resort's fleet
  • Diagnose, service, and repair Yamaha outboard engines, jet skis, and associated marine systems
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate service records
  • Perform minor fiberglass, gelcoat, and cosmetic repairs to vessels
  • Maintain docks, marine infrastructure, and watersports equipment
  • Operate boats for guest transfers, excursions, and recreational activities
  • Support watersports experiences, including snorkeling, reef and deep-sea fishing, and boating excursions


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in marine operations, marine engineering, or boat maintenance
  • Extensive hands-on experience servicing Yamaha outboard engines and Yamaha jet skis
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience operating powerboats safely with guests onboard
  • Previous experience within a private island, luxury resort, superyacht, or remote hospitality environment is highly preferred
  • Experience with fiberglass and gelcoat repairs is an advantage
  • Reef and deep-sea fishing experience is considered a strong asset
