Job description

Company Description The Therapeople provides in-home ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy services across multiple communities in Arizona, including Maricopa, Chandler, Phoenix, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Queen Creek, and Ahwatukee. The organization focuses on delivering individualized behavioral support to children and families in their natural home environments. By working directly in the community, The Therapeople aims to promote meaningful skill development and lasting behavior change. Team members collaborate closely with families to implement evidence-based interventions that improve daily functioning and quality of life.


Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician (RBT) will provide one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in their homes and community settings, following treatment plans developed by a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing behavior intervention plans, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills, recording accurate data on client progress, and participating in ongoing supervision and training. The RBT will collaborate with caregivers and teachers to model strategies, provide education, and support consistency across environments. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Ahwatukee, AZ, requiring reliable in-person attendance and local travel to client homes.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis for implementing evidence-based interventions and following BCBA-designed treatment plans.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, caregivers, and clinical supervisors and to document sessions clearly and professionally.
  • Candidates should possess Behavioral Intervention skills to manage challenging behaviors, promote skill acquisition, and maintain safe, supportive environments.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Psychology to understand developmental, behavioral, and learning principles relevant to client care.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain RBT credential within a specified timeframe.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to follow structured treatment plans, collect accurate data, and respond to feedback from supervisors.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to client homes in Ahwatukee and surrounding areas, and ability to meet any applicable state or agency background check requirements.
