Instruct Nurse Aide students in "art of bedside nursing" through engaging classroom curriculum, skills lab and clinical settings/scenarios.
Duties
Instruct Nurse Aide students in didactic, skills lab and clinical settings/scenerios. Ensure that all training and skill activities adhere to the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation guidelines.Use your expertise to pass the torch of nursing to the next generation of health care providers.
Minimum Requirements
In order to be considered for this great opportunity at A-B Tech, you must meet each minimum requirement listed below:
1. BSN, ADN, Diploma RN or higher nursing degree;
2. Two years of minimum direct patient care as RN;
3. Active, current unencumbered North Carolina Registered Nurse license;
4. Possess or have the willingness to obtain current American Heart Association Instructor Certification in Adult CPR.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: 1. Manage and ensure proper documentation required by a North Carolina state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program;
2. Effectively communicate with a diverse student population in various teaching methods.
Preferred Qualifications
The qualifications are not required:
1. One year of experience in a long-term care facility or in providing care for the chronically ill;
2. Familiarity with local health care facilities;
3. Experience teaching adult learners.
