About Us
The company is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to work on exciting design-build projects in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have experience with Traffic Control Design, Signing/Striping Design, Traffic Signal Design, and Street Lighting Design within the City of Los Angeles.
Job Description
The Project Engineer's responsibilities will include all areas of engineering design including conceptual engineering studies, preliminary engineering, and final design. The Project Engineer will be required to conduct senior-level design activities related to complex engineering analyses, nonstandard conditions, and challenging technical elements of traffic engineering projects. The Project Engineer will communicate directly with Project Managers and handle supervisory responsibilities for production of engineering documents. The candidate will need to coordinate with important clients and project team consultants and oversee and review design work produced by junior staff for quality and conformance to standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
  • PE and/or TE License a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of LADOT design criteria and standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of increasing levels of technical experience on roadway/highway traffic related projects.
  • Demonstrate successful experience with leadership of design teams of a minimum of 2 staff engineers/technicians and should be capable of producing engineering work with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Strong AutoCAD capabilities, as well as a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be required to manage multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously.
