McCormick Taylor is actively seeking an experienced mid-level Highway Engineer with a minimum of 6+ years of PennDOT highway/transportation design experience for our Harrisburg office. Successful candidate must be knowledgeable in PennDOT design criteria and standards; have experience in horizontal and vertical geometry, roadway modeling and cross section development, grading intersection design, and ADA Design. Responsibilities: Perform Lead Highway Engineer responsibilities, reporting directly to the Project Manager Roadway design, 3D modeling, intersection design/layout, and ADA ramp design/grading Provide highway engineering support for E&S, PCSM, drainage, H&H, permits, environmental, structure, traffic, and public involvement tasks Assist in the preparation of roadway, right-of-way, staging and construction plans, specifications and engineering estimates and reports for transportation projects Mentor junior engineers in the preparation of engineering studies, analyses, design plans, and reportsCandidate must possess a B.S

in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum with an interest in highway engineering EIT required and PE is preferred Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Editions Experience with PennDOT highway design and PS&E package preparation desirable Knowledge of AASHTO Green Book, PennDOT Roadway Design Manuals, and the PennDOT Project Delivery process Candidates must possess strong communications skills and flexibility to work and collaborate in a hybrid environment.
