Pharmacy Inventory Assistant

 

Full Time - West Chester, PA  

Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred, but not required upon hiring. We offer Pharmacy Technician Training and help you prepare for the Pharmacy Technician Certification.  

 

Grane Rx is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual for an Inventory Assistant position.  The Inventory Assistant is part of the Inventory Team; with core functionalities focusing on managing the pharmacy's perpetual inventory.  This position will be responsible for receiving/stocking inventory, verifying delivery manifests, and performing frequent inventory audits.  In addition, this position will communicate with the centralized inventory team and assist with monthly inventory projects and process improvements.

 

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

The Inventory Assistant will report to the Director of Procurement. The Inventory Assistant will work directly with Fulfillment Technicians, Pharmacists and Inventory Coordinators.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for maintaining current inventory management processes
  • Conduct Inventory Cycle counts timely
  • Perform narcotic cycle counts monthly
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement
  • Coordinates  UPS/Fed Ex deliveries and shipments
  • Checks pharmacy areas for expired medications
  • Ensures all medications are put into inventory in timely manner
  • Compares daily order received to delivery manifest provided by Wholesaler
  • Update of Automated Dispensing Machines as it relates to Inventory
  • Ensures loading dock is clean, safe, and organized
  • Ensures Pill counter and Splitter are clean
  • Keeps compounding area clean and supplies organized
  • Reviews NDC source switches and reports to Inventory Coordinator
  • Manages inventory recalls, expireds, and soon to expire items

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year(s) inventory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Exhibits meticulous work ethic and ambition to preserve quality control
  • Exhibits professional demeanor and ability to work well with others
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills
