Medication Assistant | Highgate Senior Living – Bellingham, WA

Compensation: $21.00–$23.00 per hour

About the role

Support residents with safe, timely medication assistance while promoting dignity and independence.

Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and families in a person‑first environment.

What you’ll do

· Administer medications per policy; document accurately

· Observe and report changes in condition promptly

· Assist with ADLs and provide companionship

· Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures

· Use healthcare software and complete task lists reliably

Skills & attributes

· Attention to detail and documentation accuracy

· Calm, compassionate presence; strong communication

· Computer comfort; quick learner of new software

· Adaptability to changing needs and priorities

· Team player who builds trust

Relatable experience

· Certified Medication Aide/Assistant roles in senior living

· Caregiving, hospitality, or customer service

· Volunteer work with vulnerable populations

Qualifications

· At least 18 years of age

· CPR & First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

· Current negative TB test; background check clearance

· Able to carry/transfer up to 25 lbs with assistance
