Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to conduct comprehensive testing and inspections of materials, components, and assemblies in the oil & gas industry. This role ensures all products meet stringent specifications and customer requirements through precise measurement, documentation, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Product Inspection: Inspect in-process parts, finished products, and purchase materials using established procedures; measure dimensions to verify conformance to specifications

  • Quality Assurance: Perform dimensional, visual, non-destructive testing (NDT), and hardness testing on piece parts and during receiving inspection

  • Thread Inspection: Conduct thread inspections to API 5CT, 7-1 standards and premium connections (VAM, Tenaris, JFE, etc.)

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records, acceptance/rejection reports, and performance documentation

  • Calibration Management: Maintain calibration database, coordinate outsource/in-house equipment calibration, and ensure all instruments are properly calibrated

  • Problem Resolution: Identify defects and quality issues; raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective/Preventive Action Requests (CPAR)

  • Compliance: Verify current revision drawings and specifications; review material test certificates; ensure adherence to HSE policies and quality management systems

  • Communication: Report inspection results and defects to supervisors; maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Skills / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1-year minimum experience in downhole inspection

  • Proficiency with standard measuring equipment and ability to interpret quality control specifications, schematics, and drawings

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office software

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with basic math skills and systematic problem-solving abilities

  • Proven understanding of industry safety standards and quality expectations
