Job description

Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital is a family-owned, full service veterinary practice established in the Federal Way community for over 50 years.  We are looking to add a skilled receptionist to our team.  Our practice recently completed a total renovation creating a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility ready to continue providing our loyal community with exceptional care. 
As a family-owned practice, every member of our staff is treated like family.  We work as a cohesive group to provide the highest standard of care to our patients and their families.  Our support staff is the foundation to our busy practice  and it starts with our front office team.
Candidates must have a passion for veterinary medicine to be able to provide an outstanding patient/client experience.  Excellent communication with clients and staff is essential as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task.  Computer and phone skills are required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Greet owners as they arrive
  • Check-in patients for their appointments
  • Collect and confirm pet and owner information
  • Use of multi-line phone, text, e-mail system
  • Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments
  • Review charges and process payments 
  • Receive and relay communication with clients verbally and in electronic medical records
  • Other administrative duties, as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least ONE YEAR experience in Vet hospital REQUIRED 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Effective communication with clients and coworkers
  • Proficient in prioritizing and multi-tasking in busy environment 
  • Excellent computer and phone skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, electronic medical record software, and other technology
  • Reliable transportation
