Paraprofessional I (more than 25 hours per week; 10 months)
Per CSDEย https://portal.ct.gov/SDE/Paraeducator/Paraeducator-Information-and-Resources, applicants must have:
  • Earned a secondary school diploma, or its equivalent.
  • Completed 2 years of study at an institution of higher education, OR
  • Earned an Associate's Degree (or higher), OR
  • Achieve at least a score of 457 on the ETS ParaPro (thru August 31, 2026), OR
  • Achieve at least a score of 332 in Section 1. Reading and Writing; and a score of 334 in Section 2. Mathematics in the new ETS ParaPathways (as of September 1, 2025) Assessment.

Hours per Regular School Day:ย ย 7.0 hour shift per regular, in-person school day (6.5 paid hours; 0.5 unpaid lunch break; no additional breaks)
  • Payrate:ย $18.42 per hourย
