Prairie Mountain Health is offering an opportunity for a Psychiatrist to join our excellent medical services team in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Dauphin is the second largest city within our Region, with a population of just under 10,000, and is located near the Riding Mountain National Park, providing plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, cross country skiing, and camping. The city hosts various cultural events, including Dauphin Country Fest and Ukrainian Festival, and offers higher education opportunities through Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive Psychiatric care to inpatients at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre and supporting Community Mental Health services within the Region. The Dauphin Regional Health Centre is an accredited Acute Care facility with a general adult psychiatric ward and 10 designated psychiatry beds.
Prairie Mountain Health employs approximately 7,846 people and operates 20 acute care facilities, 9 transitional facilities, and 43 long-term care facilities, with over 190 primary care physicians and 70 specialists providing medical services in the area.
The successful candidate will work 1885 hours annually and share equally in the Psychiatry on-call roster. Leadership and teaching opportunities are available and encouraged.
Requirements:Base income potential is between $338,520 - $500,000.00, with the potential to bill fee-for-service for some services, yielding an additional $150,000 to $450,000 annually. The position offers an attractive benefits package, including pension, paid vacation, paid education leave, parental leave, and sick time.
