Role Summary


The Lab Associate is responsible for preparing optical lenses for the application of anti-reflective coatings. This role is essential in ensuring the lenses are properly cleaned, inspected, and ready for coating, contributing to the production of high-quality eyeglasses. This role ensures our commitment to quality throughout all its work.


Responsibilities

  • Inspect post-production eyeglass orders for defects, scratches, or imperfections.
  • Assemble eye glass orders; perform quality control procedures for all customer orders.
  • Clean lenses thoroughly using specialized cleaning solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, tools, and consumables required for the AR prep process.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, especially those related to the handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Comply with industry regulations and company policies regarding the use of protective gear and safety procedures.
  • Other jobs and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Experience in optometry or manufacturing ideal but not required.
  • Familiarity with optical coatings or vacuum chamber equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, typically 8am โ€“ 5pm
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and bend, twist and crouch as needed.
