Company: Goldenboy Contracting

Compensation: $23.00 – $38.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality residential renovations, structural additions, and exterior transformations. Our crew handles everything from custom finish work to structural framing and deck building. We are growing and looking for a reliable, motivated, and skilled Residential Remodeling Carpenter to join our team. If you take genuine pride in your craftsmanship, respect the job site, and enjoy a variety of hands-on work where no two weeks look exactly the same, we have a stable spot for you on our crew.

Core Responsibilities & Projects

  • Framing & Drywall: Execute straight, plumb, and structurally sound rough framing for residential additions and interior layouts. Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall to a professional, paint-ready standard.
  • Deck & Exterior Construction: Build beautiful, durable custom outdoor living spaces, including structural deck framing, post settings, railing installations, and composite/wood decking finishes.
  • Exterior Accents: Install premium residential siding (vinyl, wood, or fiber-cement), and perform precise window and door installations/flashing to ensure complete weatherproofing.
  • General Carpentry: Complete various finish and rough carpentry tasks, including trim work, cabinetry installation, baseboards, and structural repairs.
  • Site Management (Demo & Cleanup): Execute safe, strategic residential demolition without damaging structural elements or finished spaces. Maintain a highly organized, safe, and clean job site daily to protect our clients' homes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional residential remodeling, rough/finish carpentry, or general contracting experience.
  • Tool Competency: Complete proficiency and safety with standard trade tools (miter saws, table saws, framing nailers, levels, and hand tools). Must have your own basic hand tools and reliable transportation.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read basic construction layouts or work confidently from verbal sketches and dimensions provided by the project lead.
  • Work Ethic: Punctual, exceptionally reliable, and detail-oriented. You understand that "good enough" isn't our standard.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to comfortably lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, handle roof-line/scaffolding heights, and work outdoors across various seasonal elements.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Hourly Pay: Reliable weekly pay matching your actual skill level and speed.
  • Paid Training
  • Consistent Schedule: Year-round local residential work—no massive multi-hour commutes to distant job sites.
  • Team Culture: Work directly alongside experienced builders who respect your skills, don't micro-manage, and support your growth.
