Job description

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Job title: Window Install Technician
Pay: $25.60-$27.96 hourly
Schedule:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes safe work practices in all aspects of the work performed to include vehicle operation, use of hand and power tools, and handling material on the job
  • Review work orders for current work schedule
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business associates
  • Quickly respond to customer complaints and concerns
  • Load trucks with windows and materials needed
  • Keep work area clean and well organized
  • Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policy
  • Check all paperwork for accuracy
  • Bill and invoice for parts and service as appropriate
  • Report to each appointment on-time and perform duties in an efficient, safe, and timely manner
  • Discuss repairs and issues with customer to ensure satisfaction with product installation
  • Responsible for the care of a company vehicle and driving while representing Parr
  • Aware of safety risks and does due diligence to limit them
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with wood and vinyl window assembly, installation, and repair
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to gather facts and problem solve
  • Knowledge of window and door products
  • Ability to work unsupervised and desires a high level of responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to daily changing needs and demands of the team
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and application
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record required
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, made of leather or composite material, and have ankle support required

Working Conditions

This position works primarily on the road visiting customers and job sites. The working hours typically fall Monday - Friday between the hours of 6 am and 3 pm with overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
