SUMMARY:

The Public Area Attendant is a team-player with strong attention to detail, efficiency in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of cleanliness. This role plays a critical role in upholding our properties luxury standards by creating flawless first impressions throughout lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators and all shared spaces that define our luxury ambiance. By delivering impeccable service, the Public Area Attendant will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa’s service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness in all public areas: lobbies, elevators, restrooms, corridors, and function spaces
  • Perform detail-oriented cleaning of high-touch surfaces (door handles, railings, elevator panels) every 30 minutes
  • Care for luxury finishes (marble floors, crystal chandeliers, fine wood surfaces) using approved methods
  • Refresh floral arrangements, decorative items, and display areas to brand standards
  • Maintain restrooms to spa-like standards with hourly attention
  • Replenish luxury amenities (hand towels, premium soaps, lotions)
  • Ensure spotless mirrors, fixtures, and marble surfaces
  • Discreetly monitor and address needs during peak usage times
  • Execute precise window cleaning without streaks or smudges
  • Care for delicate artwork and decorative elements during cleaning
  • Maintain specialty flooring (hardwood, marble, fine carpets) per manufacturer guidelines
  • Handle high-end cleaning equipment with care and expertise
  • Provide discreet, anticipatory service - spotting and addressing needs before guests notice
  • Offer warm greetings while maintaining professional distance
  • Respond immediately to special requests from guests or management
  • Report maintenance needs through proper channels
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum (1) year experience in luxury hotel/resort housekeeping highly preferred.
  • Endurance to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of surface-specific cleaning methods for luxury materials
  • Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment (floor buffers, steam cleaners)
  • Impeccable attention to detail (able to spot imperfections invisible to most)
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (Up to 25lbs)
  • Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
