About the Role
As part of the Quality Control team, the Quality Control (QC) / Punch List Technician will be coordinating and organizing repairs to meet the timelines of finishing schedule. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of finishing trades including drywall, paint and finish carpentry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the subcontractors to adhere to deliver interior suite and common areas finished with minimal to no deficiencies;
  • Coordinate and communicate deficiencies with subcontractors and ensure timely completion of deficient work;
  • Identify, document, and close out deficient work items to meet the project completion schedule;
  • Perform caulking, silicone, drywall repairs, install and remove finish protection, cleaning, and any associated interior finish construction work as required;
  • Support during Owner/Client deficiency inspections and subsequent repairs required with the construction team;
  • Assist with some general labour duties, such as the cleaning and organization of materials;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience and general knowledge/understanding of high-rise construction process and finishing quality and sequence;
  • Ability to handle minor deficiencies, repairs and finishing work in residential construction;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to communicate deficiencies and progress with QC Supervisor and trade partners;
  • Experienced with reading and comprehending construction drawings and understanding construction finishing practices is required;
  • Microsoft suite of productivity software proficiency is preferred. Procore is an asset;
  • Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment.
