THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN STOCKTON, CA. 

SUMMARY

Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds.  Handles administrative duties associated with building maintenance reporting requirements by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Perform grounds maintenance task, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking or disposing of leaves and refuse.
• Repair and troubleshoot irrigation system, specifically maintaining controllers, wiring, and water lines.
• Maintaining building exteriors, through regular general cleanup, cobweb removal, pressure washing, and window cleaning.
• Monitor Storm System by removing debris and replacing filter fabric as needed.
• Manage waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles and replacing liners across the facility.
• Coordinate room setups by arranding tables and chairs for conferences and events,
• Execute internal relocations of office furniture, electronics, and computer equipment safely.
• Fulfill custodial and janitorial duties as required to maintain facility cleanliness.
• Operate and maintain wash rack equipment including the oversight of wash bay filtration systems.
• Travel to alternative locations to perform identical maintenance and support duties as needed.
• Execute additional task and special projects assigned by management
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and four years of maintenance related experience.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean DMV report allowing independent travel to other company locations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be qualified to enter respirator safety program and occasionally work wearing respirator.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range $24.27 Hourly

Hourly rate of pay as negotiated with Operating Engineers, Local #3.  Excellent company-paid benefits including medical, dental, retirement, vacations and holidays.
