Janitorial Services Assistant

Classification: Part Time Flex

Pay Rate: $21.07/HR

Work Schedule: Mornings, Evenings or weekends

Work Location: On-site/Bainbridge Island Campus


Benefit PackageThis position is eligible to receive Sick & Safe leave with a maximum annual accrual of40 hours.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event setupsand breakdownsincluding lifting and moving furniture
  • Event cleaning, routine cleaning,and occasional deep cleaning projects
  • Scheduled turnovers and cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, dining room, and other buildings
  • Cleaning, mopping, window cleaning, waste removal, recycling separation,
  • Communicateinventory and equipment statustotheHospitalityServicesManager
  • Campussecurity andnightlylock-upofbuildings; evening emergency assistance


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of6 monthsexperience ofprofessional janitor workin thehospitality industry
  • Be able to understand and follow safety guidelines
  • Must be physically able to walk, stand, bend, twist, turn, kneel, stoop, climb ladders and stairs
  • Able to use hand tools and push, lift and carry up to 70 pounds
    • Washington State drivers license and ability to obtain any licenses required for system or vehicle operation
