As a Field Technician at Window Nation, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing precise project measurements and completing essential post-sale services. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to our reputation for outstanding quality and customer care. Our Field Technicians are the backbone of our installation operations and a key part of every homeowner's experience.
Core Role Responsibilities
  • Visit residential customer sites to measure each window, door, sliding glass door opening as needed 
  • Ensure order meets required installation specifications; ensure comprehensive purchase order, including material and labor requirements 
  • Support pricing process by providing accurate measurements and assessments for labor/materials 
  • Review installation project/process with customers 
  • Anticipate roadblocks that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance; recommend solutions 
  • Execute change order specifications 
  • Maintain service parts inventory and equipment
  • Complete service assessments; identify needed services, materials, and labor to relevant stakeholders 
  • Fulfill service appointment specifications 
  • Ability to learn and stay proficient with all Window Nation products, install techniques, and service techniques. 
  • Maintain proficiency to do all tasks of the position. 
  • Maintain a substantive knowledge of product, install techniques, and construction basics 
  • Maintaining a driving record that meets company’s insurance standards
  • Ability to use an extension ladder in a safe manner to measure windows and perform services
  • Must be able to pass EPA certification and follow EPA Regulations
  • Knowledge of local permit/license/historical/HOA requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 
  • 2+ years professional experience measuring replacement windows 
  • 2+ years professional experience installing/repairing windows, roofing, siding, and related home improvement projects 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Note: This position involves operating a company vehicle. Candidates must meet Window Nation’s driving and insurance standards. Driving records will be verified before hire, and periodically thereafter, in accordance with state laws and company policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience using CRM or job management systems (SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Comfortable using and navigating digital tools and iPad applications in the field
  • Knowledge of local permitting, licensing, or HOA requirements
  • Ability to safely operate ladders and hand tools and meet the physical demands of the role
  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on quality, professionalism, and safety
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills 
  • Detail-oriented with a “get it right the first time” mentality
