POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To carry out the custodial responsibilities in maintaining buildings as outlined in the YOKC Maintenance Manual. Minimal direction and supervision are necessary for this position, must be a self-starter! Starting at $11.00 per hour!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure Mirrors/Windows/Glass were cleaned daily
  • Trash Management (emptied and wipe containers)
  • Vacuum All Carpet Areas
  • Toilet/Urinal/Sink Clean and Disinfect
  • Refill and Clean Dispensers
  • Showers Disinfect and Clean throughout the day and as needed
  • Scrub/Mop Hard Floors (maintain clean flooring surfaces)
  • Assist with Deep Clean (Carpet, Tile, etc.)
  • High Dust
  • Assist with Stairwell/Running Track detail
  • Air Dispenser Cartridge Change
  • Assist with Exterior Window Cleaning
  • Report any facility issues through supervisor
  • Secure facility at the end of shift
  • Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.
  • Assist in all other duties that pertain to Janitorial

EFFECT ON END RESULTS:
The Custodial position plays a critical role in the overall success of the organization. It does this by providing one of the essential tools required in achieving the goals of the association; a safe, clean, enjoyable environment.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
The incumbent will also work hours outside of operational hours.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have good communication skills, and the ability to follow directions.
  • Able to use technology to track time worked.
