Position Summary

GLC Business Services is seeking an experiencedSuperintendent to oversee high-rise construction projects for one of our construction clients. This role is responsible for leading daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and experience managing commercial or multi‑family construction projects from start to finish.

  • Manage all daily on‑site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to quality standards.
  • Enforce safety policies, maintain a clean and organized jobsite, and hold subcontractors accountable for compliance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, utility providers, and project stakeholders to maintain efficient project progress.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including daily reports, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and as-built drawings.
  • Drive project schedules through critical path planning, look-ahead scheduling, and proactive coordination of labor and materials.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier scopes of work to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Lead preconstruction meetings, owner meetings, progress updates, and project commissioning activities.
  • Oversee inspections and quality control throughout all phases of construction, from sitework through project closeout.
  • Track tools, equipment, and material deliveries to support uninterrupted workflow.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and verify material requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and document required inspections with local authorities, third-party agencies, and insurance representatives.
  • Present project status updates to owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support field personnel while promoting professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Maintain current contract documents on-site to ensure all work is completed according to the latest plans and specifications.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve project issues in a timely manner to minimize delays.
  • Complete accurate daily reports, including project photos and site documentation.
  • Maintain monthly safety training records and required compliance documentation.
  • Document major deliveries, meetings, inspections, and site personnel activity.
  • Submit incident and accident reports within 24 hours when required.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of construction supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing commercial, multi-family, or high-rise construction projects preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety regulations, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Moderate to high exposure to construction noise and active jobsite conditions.
  • Regular use of computers, tablets, mobile devices, and project management software.
  • Ability to work flexible or extended hours as project schedules require.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $110,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, project background, and overall fit.
