Aircraft Loads Engineer

Location: Montreal, Quebec or Toronto, Ontario, Canada; United States (multiple locations)

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada OR the United States

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace specialization preferred)
  • Relevant aerospace industry experience
  • Experience with aircraft external loads analysis
  • Experience conducting aircraft loads simulations and analyses
  • Experience developing and maintaining analytical and simulation models
  • Experience with nonlinear modeling
  • Experience supporting aircraft certification activities
  • Strong programming skills in:
    • C++
    • Fortran
    • MATLAB
    • Python
  • Knowledge of numerical and scientific computing
  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Aircraft flight dynamics
    • Aeroelastic phenomena (Flutter, LCO)
    • Unsteady aerodynamics
  • Knowledge of time-domain and frequency-domain unsteady aerodynamics
  • Experience with fly-by-wire systems and control law integration
  • Experience with finite element analysis tools such as Nastran
  • Understanding of airworthiness regulations and certification documentation
  • Experience developing automated engineering tools and analysis frameworks preferred
  • Experience with store separation loads analysis preferred
