Thrive Alliance helps individuals access resources and support services that improve their lives and builds stronger communities. As the "umbrella" over several programs, we provides services that help the elderly, disabled, and low-income individuals in 5 counties of south central Indiana: Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings. These programs include:
Aging and In-Home Services - as the local Area Agency on Aging, Area 11, Thrive Alliance provides Care management and resources to assist those over the age of 60 to remain at home or in a community setting.
Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC): a highly visible and trusted place where people can turn for information on a full range of support options.
Adult Guardian Services: Provides guardianship services for disabled adults in need of support and legal assistance.
Nutrition Services: Provides congregate meal site where seniors can come have a hot meal and interact with others in a comfortable environment. Educational program often offered. Current meals sites include Nashville, IN, Seymour, IN, Crothersville, IN, North Vernon, IN and Columbus, IN.
First Steps: Provides case management, assessment, advocacy, and resources to assist families with a child under age 3 diagnosed with a developmental disability
Caregiver Support: Provides support and education to families and caregivers of individuals dealing with dementia
Housing Partnerships: Provides safe and affrodable housing to low-income, seniors and disabled individuals

Description
Aging and Community Services dba Trhive Allianceprovides a nutritious meal at noon in several locations in the 5-county region of Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings.
This Nutrition Site Lead position is in Seymour, Indiana in Jackson County.
The Nutrition Site Leader is responsible for coordinating the Nutrition Program at the designated site, or sites, as assigned by the Agency. Most, but not all, of our Nutrition Programs serve meals in a senior center or senior housing complex for the noon meal during the week. The Site Leader works 4 hours a day preparing, serving, and cleaning up the site. Other key duties include:
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and dining area, or any designated site where our services are provided
- Maintaining inventory of supplies
- Maintaining and submitting all site docuementation in accordance to Agency requirements and in an accurate manner
- Order meals needed for the site
- Collect, document, and deposit all monies and donations from the site
- Computer input as designated
- Payroll input into the Payroll system
The Nutrition Site Lead also recruits and supervises volunteers for the site as appropriate, and ensures their training. The Site Leader builds relationships with the seniors coming to the site, looking and listening for service-related needs and service gaps within the program.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivilent
Basic computer skills
A working knowledge of age-related needs
Good listening skills, frienddly and outgoing to participants, volunteers and meal site local staff, working to build relationships that help everyone involved in the meal site
Good time management and organizational skills
Ability to work week days during the noon meal on all days the site is serving meals. Hours are generally 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday
Ability to organize and lead site programs for educational and social programs as assigned
