School Security Officer (Unarmed)
Location: Paradise Valley, AZ
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Position Start Date:
Official start date is August 4th.
Additional Opportunity:
Candidates hired before the school year begins may have the opportunity to work part-time fill-in and flex shifts throughout the Phoenix area during the summer months of June and July.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed School Security Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors in a school setting in Paradise Valley, AZ.
The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, strong observational skills, and the ability to interact positively with students and faculty while maintaining a secure campus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor campus grounds and school facilities
  • Control access points and verify visitors
  • Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the campus
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unsafe or unauthorized activity
  • Respond to incidents and assist with conflict de-escalation
  • Collaborate with school staff and administration
  • Write detailed incident and daily activity reports
  • Follow all school policies and security procedures
Requirements
  • Active Arizona Unarmed Guard Card License (required)
  • Prior security experience required
  • Experience in a school or educational environment strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a school setting
