Role Summary
The Project Manager leads field production operations for the Commercial Walls & Ceilings team, ensuring multiple commercial projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with budget, schedule, and quality standards. Serving as the key link between field and executive leadership, this role is responsible for workforce planning, labor productivity, and overall operational performance, requiring strong leadership, manpower forecasting ability, and the operational insight to keep projects on track while upholding Higgins Group's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily production activities across multiple commercial projects
  • Coordinates with leadership to align labor, materials, and equipment
  • Monitor job progress and proactively address production delays
  • Conduct regular job site visits and field audits
  • Plan workforce allocation and adjust manpower based on project needs
  • Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, and corrective coaching
  • Develop and manage labor budgets for projects
  • Forecast manpower requirements and labor costs
  • Monitor productivity, hours, and production rates
  • Identify cost risks early and implement corrective actions
  • Work closely with leadership to maintain profitability
  • Review blueprints, schedule, specifications, and scope requirements
  • Coordinate sequencing with other trades and general contractors
  • Assist in preconstruction planning and production strategy
  • Enforce company and OSHA safety standards

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial drywall and metal stud framing construction experience
  • Superintendent or foreman management experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial blueprints, management software and estimating
  • Out-of-town travel as required
