The selected candidates will support the design, build, troubleshooting, delivery, maintenance and support of numerous trainers and test systems for both the Army and the Navy.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School and 2 years additional education or 2 years relevant experience.
  • Secret security clearance with he US Government is required at hire

Preferred Requirements
  • Familiarity with schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with crimping, crimp tools, contact insertion/removal
  • Capable with basic handtools (screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)
  • Capable with Digital Volt meters (Voltage, Continuity checks)
  • Ability to travel as necessary (limited)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather.
  • Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
