$19.10 – $21.14/hr | Full-Time & Part-Time Shifts Available

Hiring in: Brooklyn, NY — Assignments are in patients’ homes within these service areas

Provide Care and Comfort with Dada Home Care

At Dada Home Care, we believe in helping individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide personal care, home management, and supportive services under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

What You’ll Do as an HHA

  • Assist patients with daily personal care: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, and feeding

  • Prepare and serve meals (normal/therapeutic diets), monitor intake, and support hydration

  • Support safe positioning, prescribed exercise routines, and mobility assistance

  • Transfer patients safely between bed, chair, and wheelchair (with or without assistive devices)

  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and orientation for confused patients

  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, intake/output)

  • Perform light housekeeping: making beds, tidying rooms, laundry, and kitchen/bath cleaning

  • Assist with self-administered medications as directed by medical staff

  • Report any changes in condition promptly to the supervising nurse

  • Safely operate equipment such as a walker, wheelchair, commode, hospital bed, or Hoyer lift

What We’re Looking For

  • Successful completion of a New York State DOH-approved HHA

  • Valid HHA Certificate (NY State)

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (for documentation and patient safety)

  • Preferred Languages:

  • English, Bengali, Arabic, Albanian, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), Creole, Farsi, Filipino, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese

  • Compassion, patience, and reliability

  • Physical ability to assist patients (up to 50 lbs occasionally; frequent standing and walking required)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff

What HHAs Do Not Do

  • No catheter irrigation, sterile dressing, enemas, gastric lavage, or heat applications

  • No tasks outside of the NYS DOH Scope of Practice
