Job Purpose
As a Jobsite Setup tech, you will be the first line of contact for our customers and your role is critical for the proper handling and installation of our customers' equipment and services. This role is perfect for you if you are looking for an opportunity where you aren't tied to an office every day and if enjoy working with your hands outdoors. Successful Jobsite Setup tech excel and place value on the following:
What you will do...
  • Safely delivering, loading/unloading and installing the equipment we rent (Pumps, Power & Temperature Control)
  • Applying your mechanical ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment as directed by the branch manager or onsite supervisor.
  • Providing excellent customer service and providing solutions to our customers.
  • Advancing your career through company provided training and the ability to increase your pay as you increase your skills.
  • Planning - creating a project plan and executing with team members.
  • Yard Prep - Making Sure all rental equipment and necessary material is prepped and ready for shipment.
  • Communication - Represent Herc Rentals in communicating with the customers, Sales and internal resources.
  • Documentation of projects from daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, Change Orders and all other necessary documentation as part of the protocol for each project.
  • Assist with cleanliness of shop and yard and ready Rental equipment when not assigned a project.
  • Assist with deliveries, pick-ups, and every day business when not assigned a project.
  • Provides support to Shop mechanics engaged in equipment repairs or maintenance when not assigned a project.
  • Performs other duties assigned as assigned by the manager.
  • Attends all training and manufacturing training as directed

Requirements
  • 1 year of work experience using mechanical/technical skills
  • Basic Equipment knowledge and troubleshooting experience - pumps, generators, power distribution, and temperature control.
  • Required to lift up to 40 pounds and continuously carry 5 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles, CDL is a Plus.
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
