Job description

Title: Summer Warehouse/Textbook Helpers

Reports To: Stockroom Clerk

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 16 years of age

* Preference given to students attending Topeka Public Schools

Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the below requirements during any part of the working day.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Performance Responsibilities:

* Help with receiving, in-checking and stocking textbooks

* Sorting, shelving, moving books and other materials

* Lifting, carrying and moving books/boxes

* Using two-wheel dolly

* Counting and labeling textbooks

* Filling orders/requests

* Palletizing and shrinkwrapping

Terms of Employment:

The position will be needed from June 1, 2026 through the end of July - 6 hours per day
