Job description

Job Title: Plateroom / Production Helper What Youll Be Doing: Youll be in the plateroom getting plates ready to roll for our daily papers, preprints, and commercial jobs. This is a hands-on role where timing matterswhen its go-time, you make sure everythings prepped, running right, and ready for press. Youll also jump in wherever needed, whether thats the pressroom or mailroom, to keep production moving. Day-to-Day Work: Build and prep printing plates for daily runs and special jobson time, no excuses Run and keep an eye on the CTP (computer-to-plate) machines to make sure everythings coming out clean and correct Work with the NewsWay system to keep layouts and production flowing right Handle basic upkeep and troubleshooting on plateroom equipmentkeep things running, dont let problems sit Keep your workspace clean and squared away Work alongside the crew to hit deadlines and keep the whole operation on track Step in and help in the pressroom or mailroom when neededteam effort all the way Follow safety rules and use your head around equipment What Were Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent is a plus Experience in printing, production, or manufacturing helps, but well train the right person Comfortable with computers and willing to learn the systems we use Pays attention to the details and doesnt miss deadlines Can work solo when needed but pulls their weight with the team Physical Side of the Job: On your feet most of the shift Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs Repetitive work in a production settingthis isnt a desk job Work Environment: Print shop settingmachines running, things moving, real work getting done Primary shift is 2nd shift : Tuesday - Friday 2pm - Midnight, though shifts can include early mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on the scheduling needs.
