Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Join Our Team at Varco Home Health

Varco Home Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our expanding team in the Brownsville, Texas area. We have positions available in the Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast areas. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling—ideal for clinicians looking for supplemental income or a balanced schedule. As an SLP with Varco, you’ll provide high-quality, home-based speech therapy services to help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function. We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused clinician committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Patient Evaluations:
Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and identify functional deficits impacting daily life.

Develop & Implement Treatment Plans:
Create and carry out individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing function.

Patient & Caregiver Education:
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy strategies, exercises, compensatory techniques, and safety recommendations to support continued progress at home.

Monitor and Document Progress:
Complete accurate and timely documentation, track patient progress, report changes in condition, and update plans of care as needed.

Deliver Compassionate, High-Quality Care:
Provide supportive, patient-centered therapy services that enhance independence, safety, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Texas (TX)

  • CCC-SLP preferred

  • Home health experience preferred

  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Knowledge of therapy standards of care and documentation requirements

  • Professional, reliable, and patient-focused

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Kinnser/WellSky EMR experience preferred
