Job description

-Written by a human, not AI.

Veterans Healthcare has a terrific opportunity for a Hematologist Oncologist. Here are the statements coming from doctors who've joined our team over the past 2 years.

"I no longer fight with insurance companies to get the treatments my patients need."

"I'm teaching and training residents and fellows, which makes call nearly non-existent."

"Little Rock is a hidden gem, everything we need, really friendly people, and the airport makes it easy for my family to visit."

"I have full team here for help when I need it; plus, the specialists I've met at the academic medical center across the street."

"The case load is quite light and admin doesn't limit my patient care appointment slot times"

"I have too much time off to fully use, and I love that I don't lose my pay when I take it."

You get the idea. Come, apply, talk to us. Interview us. You can thrive here. Feel free to research Little Rock or Central Arkansas. Sure, we have weaknesses, but we also have so many strengths.

Highlights of this opportunity:

  • Compensation range: $335,000 - $350,000, plus additional incentives possible.

  • Possibly the best Retirement and health benefits in the country? (I am happy to provide calculations if you are interested)

  • Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 2 days per week in clinic, 3 days per week supervising fellows clinic, 1/4 shared inpatient consult service and call coverage. Approx 4-8 patients per shift.

  • 50+ days of PAID leave per year + 12 weeks of PAID paternity leave possible.

  • Earn extra money by moonlighting at other local facilities.

  • Malpractice insurance not needed.

Requirements:

  • Open to US citizens, and non-citizens.

  • Must have a Medical Doctorate (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with acceptable USMLE scores.

  • Must have completed a ACGME accredited residency program, or have practiced in this specialty for at least 5 years - case logs will be required.

  • You must have at least 1 active state medical license, and all your other state medical licenses must have either be voluntarily not renewed, or in good standing.

Let's get the ball rolling: email a copy of your current CV to me, I'll review it and we'll set up a call. If you aren't interested, would you at least help a veteran by mentioning this to a few friends?
