Job description

CGS is looking for an Operational Strategic Command (OSC) Chief of Multi-Doman Operations (MDO) / Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Writer to support the US Army's Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, KS.

As an expert in Cyber Operations, you understand there is no single or easy solution to prepare for the unforeseen. By creating and testing real-world scenarios, you know how to help military organizations make faster and smarter decisions based on data.
As the Opposing Forces (OPFOR) Chief of Multi Domain Operations (MDO) / Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Writer, you'll develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of plans and procedures for clients, creating rich content to help you tell a realistic story. You'll listen to client challenges and identify threats, gaps, or risks that need to be explored and provide a safe space for recommendations that will make lasting, real-world impact.
As a leader in the firm's Army Sector, you'll have the chance to work cross-functionally with planners and scenario developers on projects that are making an impact on critical missions. You'll share your expertise and collaborate with the industry's best trainers and coaches.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in the OPFOR military decision-making process to develop OPFOR competitive Operations Orders.
  • Supports the military OPFOR Commander and contractor Chief of Staff.
  • Is the OPFOR's chief of the muti domain operations (space, cyber, EW, IO and civil affairs).
  • Is the primary staff officer responsible for integrating and synchronizing MDO for the OPFOR commander.
  • Collaborates with the Blue Orders writers to ensure multi domain operations and effects are integrated into CDRL 19 (WCOPFOR competitive operations order).
  • Attends Event Life Cycle (ELC) events as required.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint regulations and current doctrine.
  • Ability to work at temporary Army training locations.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 5% of the time)
  • One or more of the following:
    • BS/BA degree with 5 years of military experience or
    • High School and 10 years of military experience.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance is required.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • An advanced degree
  • Experience as a U.S. Army former field grade officer, warrant officer, or sergeant major.
  • Successfully served in a key developmental position at brigade/battalion level.
  • MEL 4 certification.
  • 20+ years of military experience.
  • Familiarity with FM 7-100 OPFOR Hybrid Threat doctrine.
  • Experience with Constructive Simulation Models (e.g., Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Warfighters Simulation (WARSIM)
  • Experience working with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP).

Working Conditions: Inside Government training facilities.
Required Travel: Employees will travel to temporary work locations during exercises.
