Job description

This Is a Sales Career

The Lyle Group is growing, and we are looking for another high-performing salesperson to join our team.

You do not need insurance experience or an insurance license to apply. We can help the right person get licensed, and we can teach you the insurance business.

What we can't teach is competitiveness, work ethic, confidence, and the desire to win.

Former college athlete? We want to talk to you. We've found that competitive, coachable people who are used to being measured by results tend to thrive here.

We are looking for someone who likes having a goal, wants to know where they stand, and takes pride in being great at what they do. If you're motivated by achievement, enjoy talking to people, and want your income and career growth tied to your performance, this could be a great fit.

Who We Are

The Lyle Group is a growing Allstate insurance agency with offices in St. Cloud and Monticello, serving customers throughout Minnesota.

Our agency is built around five core values:

Respect. Accountability. Trust. Leadership. Excellence.

We believe in high expectations, great coaching, personal accountability, and recognizing people who perform.

This isn't an office where we hand you a phone, give you a script, and hope for the best. We invest heavily in training, technology, coaching, lead generation, and development.

You'll have the tools and opportunities to succeed.

What you do with them is up to you.

Is This You?

You don't have to know insurance.

You do need to believe you can become great at selling it.

We're looking for the person who sees a leaderboard and immediately wants to know what it takes to get to the top. Someone who wants coaching because they want to improve. Someone who doesn't make excuses when they miss a goal. Someone confident enough to ask for the sale and disciplined enough to follow up when the answer is "not yet."

If you're looking for an easy job where simply showing up is enough, this probably isn't it.

If you're looking for a place where you can compete, develop, earn, and build a real career, we want to meet you.

Apply today and tell us why you think you'd be successful in sales at The Lyle Group.

Who We're Looking For

Insurance experience is helpful, but it isn't our first priority.

We're much more interested in how you're wired.

You may be a great fit if you are:

Competitive and motivated by winning

Confident talking with people

Comfortable asking someone for their business

Highly coachable

Resilient enough to hear "no" and make the next call

Accountable for your own results

Energetic and self-motivated

Organized and disciplined with follow-up

Comfortable having your performance measured

Someone who wants feedback and actually uses it

Someone who raises the standard of the people around them

Previous sales experience, a college degree, athletics, leadership experience, or another competitive background is a plus, but none is required.

We hire for talent and attitude. We train for insurance.

Licensing

You do not need an insurance license to apply.

If selected, you will be required to obtain the appropriate Minnesota insurance license. We will provide direction and support through that process.

Already licensed? Even better.

You'll Know Exactly Where You Stand

We believe good salespeople want a scoreboard.

Our sales team measures production, activity, close rate, follow-up performance, and the behaviors that lead to results.

We don't do this to micromanage people. We do it because numbers tell us what's working, where coaching can help, and who is performing at a high level.

You'll receive regular coaching, clear expectations, and direct feedback.

You'll always know where you stand.

Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Customer-Focused: A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term client relationships.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Team-oriented: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity and work ethic.
