Position Summary:

The Training Supervisor is responsible for leading the delivery of comprehensive training programs that support onboarding, operational excellence, and employee development. This role facilitates new hire orientation, delivers job-specific operational training, supports the administration of the company's learning management system, and partners with site leadership to ensure associates are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people, fostering continuous learning, and driving consistent training standards across the operation.

Work Location: Henrico, VA

Work Schedule:M-F, Night Shift

Travel: 0-10%

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs for hourly associates
  • Deliver operational, process, systems, and equipment training for new and existing associates
  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure training aligns with business needs and performance expectations
  • Travel to various company locations to conduct onsite training and support training initiatives as needed
  • Develop, coach, and support site trainers to ensure consistent delivery of training programs
  • Monitor new hire progress through coaching, follow-up, evaluations, and feedback sessions
  • Administer the training management system, including tracking completion, maintaining records, scheduling training, and reporting metrics
  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of training materials, job aids, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide hands-on coaching and support to help associates successfully transition into their roles
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on operational performance and learner feedback
  • Deliver refresher and cross-training programs to support employee development and operational flexibility
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, engagement, and operational excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support training and organizational development initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center operations
  • Working knowledge of warehouse processes, including receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring employees in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing and delivering engaging training sessions for frontline associates
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanning, and warehouse technology
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence others, and foster a positive learning environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel to support training initiatives across multiple sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting new site startups or large-scale onboarding initiatives
  • Experience creating training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
  • Previous experience in a 3PL, distribution, or high-volume fulfillment environment
