Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plug and unplug storage containers from power source within the terminal.
  • Record and maintain a log of container temperatures within the terminal.
  • Escorting Non-TWIC holders.
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties in the shop and work area.
  • Maintain a professional work atmosphere.
  • Fuel equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated; capable of working independently
  • Ability to routinely lift weights of 30+ lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, sitting. lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, and climbing).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.
  • Ability to read, write, and type in English.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks or motor vehicles.

Working Conditions:

  • 90% of daily time spent outside.
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions possible.
