Help Wanted information

What does help wanted mean?

'Help Wanted' is a phrase commonly used by businesses or employers to indicate that they are looking to hire new employees. It is often seen on signs in store windows, job boards, or online listings. The term is not a specific job title but a general announcement that positions are available and applications are being accepted. If you see a 'Help Wanted' sign, it usually means you can inquire within the business or check their website for more details about the available roles.

What tasks and responsibilities can I expect in a help wanted position, and how might they vary depending on the employer?

A 'Help Wanted' position typically signals that a business needs immediate assistance, and the exact duties can vary widely depending on the industry and employer. Common tasks may include customer service, stocking shelves, assisting with sales, cleaning, or basic administrative support. It's important to clarify the job description during the application or interview process, as some roles may involve physical work, flexible hours, or cross-training in multiple areas. Entry-level 'Help Wanted' roles often provide on-the-job training and can be a pathway to more specialized or permanent positions within the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Help Desk Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Help Desk Technician, you need a solid understanding of computer systems, troubleshooting techniques, and customer service, often supported by a relevant IT certification or associate degree. Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and operating systems like Windows and macOS is typically required. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities help you excel when assisting users and resolving technical issues. These skills and qualities are essential for maintaining user productivity and ensuring smooth IT operations within an organization.

Job description

Experienced DVM Wanted - Come Grow With Us
Southfort Veterinary Clinic is expanding, and we're excited to welcome an experienced DVM to our thriving small animal practice in Fort Saskatchewan. Just minutes from Edmonton, our city blends small-town warmth with easy access to big-city amenities-the best of both worlds.
This role is a great fit for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, with a strong mix of surgery, dentistry, and client consults. Our clinic is well equipped with digital radiography, an in-house lab, fully equipped surgery suite, dental station, and two exam rooms-and we're eager to grow in directions that match your interests and expertise.
We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients, something clearly reflected in our outstanding Google reviews. Just as importantly, we value our team and believe great work deserves great rewards. You'll enjoy excellent earning potential with monthly production bonuses, flexible scheduling (including the option for shorter work weeks), and a preference for Saturday availability to support our community.
Your well-being matters here. We offer CE support, paid time off, RRSP contributions, and additional benefits designed to help you thrive both professionally and personally.
If you're looking for a clinic where your skills are appreciated, your voice is heard, and your career can grow-come build something special with us at Southfort Veterinary Clinic. Get to know us at southfortvetclinic.ca and contact Susan at susan.heppner@nva.com / 403-542-3862 to learn more.
