Job description

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for transporting landscaping materials and debris to and from job sites while supporting lawn maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal operations. During the winter season, the driver will assist with snow removal operations, including hauling snow, salting, and supporting plow crews. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in outdoor environments year-round.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company dump trucks to transport materials such as mulch, soil, gravel, salt, snow and landscaping debris.
  • Communicate with supervisors and crew members regarding deliveries, schedules, and job site needs.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Assist with winter operations including snow hauling, salt delivery, and support for snow removal crews.
  • Preform pre-trip inspections
  • Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of trucks and related equipment.
  • Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and other safety systems.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
  • Must show consistent professionalism, good judgement, and safety precautions.
  • Previous experience operating dump trucks, landscaping equipment, or similar vehicles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions including heat, rain, snow, etc.
  • Good communication skills and customer service skills
