Job description

The Opportunity:

Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Bulk Petroleum Truck Driver (Local) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position will be home every night, no long-haul driving. This position reports to the Commercial Energy Logistics Manager. 

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Assist in achieving budgeted litre goals within the Bulk Petroleum department by completing individual deliveries to farm and commercial accounts within the trading area. 

  • Accurately prepare invoices and truck reports, submit to meet required deadlines.

  • Maintain a high image standard on trucks at all times.

  • Ensure all maintenance is completed on trucks within established guidelines.

  • Ensure all certifications and safeties are current on trucks.

  • Abide by, and maintain certifications with all TDG, DOT, CPPI, Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

  • Maintain all credentials for entry into Shell and Esso terminals.

  • Always report to work fit for duty.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently

  • Schedule flexibility: Some evenings and Weekends required.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Valid Manitoba Class 1F Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement (Class 3F with Air Brake Endorsement will be considered) 

  • Verified 150,000km and/or 2 years' experience 

  • Dependable and trusted to work in an unsupervised environment   

  • Possess a strong work ethic 

  • Possess integrity and a positive attitude 

Subject to Criminal Record Check and Driver Abstract review. The successful Candidate will also be subject to pre-employment Alcohol and Substance Testing.
