Job description

We are seeking a Aerospace Quality Inspector to join our team! You will review certifications to determine the quality of materials and validate dimensions on in process and finished metal aircraft engine parts to meet our customer quality requirements. Lots of opportunity for overtime!

Must be authorized to work in USA.

No Relocation Funding.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough examinations of all materials, in process and finished products
  • Perform manual layout inspection
  • know how to use gauges - micrometer, indicators, swing gauges, height gauge, Optical Comperator, calipers, pins and wall thickness gauge
  • Read and interpret CMM reports
  • Participate in internal audits and evaluations
  • Identify and troubleshoot dimensional problems and defects
  • Participate in routine visual inspections
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

​​Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in quality control in Aerospace
  • Must be able interpret blueprints and operation sheets
  • Must be able to use gauges: micrometer, indicators, swing gauges, height gauge, Optical Comperator, calipers, pins and wall thickness gauge
  • Understanding of Pratt and Whitney, General Electric and Sikorsky specifications
  • Can use Excel, Words and Outlook
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
