Job Description

We're looking for a Hedge Fund Implementation Director to lead the business management function for our growing hedge fund business. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing franchise within a highly established and reputable investment firm. The person who will be successful in this role will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, is a continuous learner, and is able to prioritize tasks for themselves and others.

How you'll spend your time...

  • Oversee the trade order entry process for hedge fund and affiliated strategies, including developing and maintaining procedures to ensure that clean orders are received by the trading desk.
  • Coordinate the implementation of complex transactions across internal and external parties, including private equity transactions and complex derivatives trades.
  • Lead a team of 3 to 5 Portfolio Implementation Specialists/Portfolio Management Assistants who are responsible for creating trade orders in the order management system based on portfolio manager instructions. Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture across the team. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations and provide team with professional development opportunities.
  • Represent the investment team in cross functional change initiatives, including client onboarding/offboarding/maintenance, product implementations and system implementations.
  • Face off with key business partners (ex. Compliance, Legal, Middle Office Operations, Products, Tax, Accounting, Reporting, and Performance) on behalf of the investment team.
  • Lead or participate in ad hoc projects supporting the portfolio management and portfolio implementation processes, including projects related to process automation.


To be successful in this role you will have...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in the asset management industry, including experience with equities and derivatives. Equity hedge fund experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using investment technology systems (ex. Bloomberg, Aladdin, accounting systems, attribution systems, etc.), preferably in the capacity of a subject matter expert or system administrator.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with business partners at all levels to drive results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently with limited direction, maintain strong attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively at the same time.

In-Office Collaboration

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 per year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
