Summary
Not your standard hedge fund, the scientists, technologists and academics at this innovative company look beyond traditional finance to develop creative solutions and sophisticated trading models.
They're looking to hire mid-level software engineers with expertise in Data Engineering to join the foundational data team. You'll be expected to have a strong background in large language models (LLM) technologies, cloud computing, and financial markets. You will work on world-class trading systems, developing and maintaining scalable and efficient data engineering solutions designed to meet the needs of your data scientist, financial analyst and engineering colleagues.
This role would be perfect for someone with a deep understanding of financial instruments & simulations, as well as knowledge of the data engineering technology landscape to help drive continued success.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of software development experience, preferably with a data engineering focus
  • Proven background in LLM technologies and their application
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and related, e.g. BigQuery
  • Good knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing
  • Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance (or related field)
  • Highly desirable: prior financial industry/hedge fund experience
