Job Summary

This professional will be an integral member ofInvesture'sAccounting and Treasury team. Reporting to the Fund Controller, the Fund Accountant will take meaningful ownership of the accounting and operations ofInvesture'sinvestment vehicles, with broad exposure to the full lifecycle of fund accounting, investment activity, valuations, financial reporting, and investor capital activity. The role offers the opportunity to build a strong understanding of institutional investment operations while taking increasing responsibility for key processes and deliverables. The Fund Accountant will collaborate closely withInvesture'sAccounting and Treasury team, third-party Fund Administrator, investment managers, and other internal and external partners to driveaccuratefinancial reporting, effective fund operations, and continuous improvement acrossInvesture'saccounting processes.

This is a full-time position with an anticipated starting annual base salary range of$80,000-$90,000at the time of this posting.Annual salary is a part ofInvesture'soverall compensation and benefits package; full-time positions are typically eligible for discretionary components including merit-based performance bonus, portfolio bonus (based on firm performance), and employer401(k)contribution, among other benefits such as group health insurance. The annual base salary range for this position is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.Additionalfactors considered indeterminingbase salary include (but are not limited to) position responsibilities, individual education/qualifications, general and role-specific experience, knowledge,skillsand other abilities, as well as internal equity, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Functions

Responsible for supporting andassistingthe Accounting and Treasuryteam with various tasks includingbut not limited to the below:

Fund Accounting & Financial Close

  • Perform key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes forInvesture'sfund vehicles.
  • Prepare, review, and post investment transactions toInvesture'sinternal accounting system.
  • Perform reconciliations betweenInvesture'saccounting records and the official books and recordsmaintainedby the Fund Administrator; research and resolve discrepanciesin a timely manner.
  • Review monthly and quarterly market values provided by underlying investment managers andinvestigatediscrepancies or unusual activity asappropriate.
  • Coordinate and process capital activity for Investure funds.
  • Maintainaccurateand organized accounting workpapers, documentation, and supporting records.
  • Assist the Fund Controller and broader Accounting and Treasuryteam with reporting, audit support, and other fund-related accounting requirements.
  • Provide periodic backup support to Client Accounting and Treasury functions as needed.

Fund Administrator & Investment Manager Coordination

  • Serve as a day-to-day accounting contact withInvesture'sFund Administrator and work collaboratively to research and resolve accounting and reconciliation matters.
  • Communicate with underlying investment managers and other external partners to obtain information, resolve questions, and support accounting and closing processes.

Process Improvement, Controls & Systems

  • Develop a strong understanding ofInvesture'sfund accounting processes, systems, and controls andidentifyopportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and recurring workflows.
  • Thoughtfullyleveragetechnology, automation,and AI-enabled toolsto improve accounting processes, analysis, documentation, and other work whilemaintainingappropriate judgment, controls, confidentiality, and review.
  • Participate in process improvements, system enhancements, and other Accounting and Treasury projects and initiatives.

Education, Experience &Skills

  • 1-3+years of professional accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, investment management, fund accounting, financial services, or a similarly complex accounting environment; experience with investment fund accounting or operations strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor'sdegree in accounting, finance, orrelatedfieldrequired; CPA or progress toward CPAdesignationa plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles anddemonstratedability to research and resolve complex transactions, reconciliations, and accounting discrepancies.
  • Advanced Excel skills anddemonstratedability to work effectively with accounting systems and complex data; experience with a double-entry accounting system preferred.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and manage competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and interest in investment structures, fund accounting, technology, and emerging tools, including artificial intelligence.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism.
