Job Summary:

Install, maintain, and operate machinery according to instruction given by the Production Supervisor and/or Management. Assures consistent quality of production by operating machinery within parameters set by specifications for individual products. Includes following instructions; monitoring machine parameters; utilizing tools and machinery; filling documentation; interacting with staff.

Requirements:

Essential Job Duties and responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Verify line settings (operations/packaging) of equipment per established specifications.
  • Maintains machinery to achieve optimum performance using tools available.
  • May make needed repairs to machinery with instruction from Production Supervisor or Management.
  • Interacts with quality control and other staff to ensure proper documentation is being filled out and quality control weights and measures are being documented.
  • Verify weights/measures of finished product during manufacturing per established specifications.
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
  • Log data from testing performed, including weights and burst tank test.
  • Communicate to Supervisor/Management in a professional manner.
  • Follow and improve area processes as needed.
  • Housekeeping and sanitation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow direction and fill forms for providing in-process quality control measures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Reading and comprehension abilities.
  • Must be able to pass food safety training.
  • As needed, must be able to work all shifts, weekends.
  • Ability to work in a Team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

  • Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent degree and training.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Equipment, Machines, and Software Used:
  • This position requires the regular use of F/F/S (form/fill/seal) machinery and other large equipment like the V-blender. Ability to interpret machine settings with some understanding of computer functions.


Physical Activities and Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 pounds. Requires ability to continually stand and walk for up to 10-hour days.
