Job description

Our manufacturing company seeks 2nd shift (3p-11:30p) Packaging Operators for packaging of a variety of manufactured acrylic/polyester resins. The Packaging Operator position is a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to quality and production. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of stability and commitment in previous positions. This job description details some, but not all, duties that are required in this position. Training takes place on 1st shift, 8:30a-5p for approximately 30 days.


This is not a pick/pack position.

Packaging Operators are responsible for robotic and manual packing operations of finished resin products. Packaging Operators are required to adhere to plant safety guidelines and standards. We are looking for Packaging Operators who can perform under direct supervision to take our products to the next level in terms of our QEHS policy.


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Manage a robotic/palletizing packaging conveyor system

·         Perform packaging duties such as manual lifting, filing bags, sealing, labeling, and sorting resin.

·         Load packaging machine with supplies, such as bags, shrink wrap spools, and ties.

·         Operate control panel to robotic equipment.

·         Move product around using a forklift and bin system.

·         Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

·         Adhere to safety regulations.

·         Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.

·         Adhere to OSHA, ISO as well as all Federal, State and local laws and regulations

·         Other duties as assigned

·         Assist in other departments as needed; cross training provided

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·         High School diploma or GED required.

·         Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

·         Manufacturing/Industrial work environment experience preferred.

·         Machine operation experience.

·         Forklift experience

·         Strong team-player

WORK ENVIRONMENT

·         Working hours will be spent in a non-temperature controlled factory and warehouse.

·         Will be required to stand for long periods of time.

·         Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting up to 55 pounds.

·         May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
