Job description

Strittmatter Companies is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience operating machinery and equipment in a construction or similar environment. The Heavy Equipment operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating one or more types of large construction equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, and Loaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, other equipment, potential obstructions and marked or unmarked utility lines.
  • Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions of on-site management.
  • Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
  • Move and/or load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
  • Ensure Equipment is safely stored and secured when not in use.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of operating machinery/equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions
  • Must successfully complete drug screening and background check
  • Must have OSHA 10
  • May be required to lift, Carry, or push/pull supplies, materials equipment and/or items weighing 50lbs or more.


PAY: up to $35.00hr, Overtime availability
