Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot diesel engines for semi highway trucks and a wide variety of heavy equipment, including loaders, bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, and other construction and industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and experience working with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and meets project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Replace or repair defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, and other components.

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, oil changes, and filter replacements.

• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to identify and solve problems.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.

• Test equipment for proper performance and functionality after repairs.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
