Heavy Equipment Operator - Finish Grade with GPS Systems experience


*This position requires working knowledge of GPS Site Solutions products such as Trimble, TopCon, Leica, etc.  This is a requirement for this position.



We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to run machines on dirt work and site prep jobs. You’ll be operating equipment like dozers, excavators, skid steers, loaders, and compactors to get job sites ready the right way and on schedule. This is hands-on work, and safety matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate heavy equipment for site prep, grading, trenching, and excavation
  • Read grade stakes and work with the foreman to meet job specs
  • Load trucks and move dirt, rock, and materials
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report any issues
  • Keep equipment clean and running properly
  • Work safely around other crew members and laborers
  • Follow all safety rules and job site procedures
  • Pitch in with general labor when equipment isn’t running

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment (excavation or dirt work preferred)
  • Experience working with Trimble GPS systems is a preferable; any experience with GPS positioning systems is a must.
  • Comfortable running equipment on uneven ground and tight spaces
  • Good attitude and able to take direction
  • Reliable, shows up on time, and works safely
  • Willing to help wherever needed on the job site

Physical & License Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to climb in and out of equipment multiple times a day
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
