Job Description

The candidate will support the project engineering work for all UG transmission projects.

Technical:

Experience with hydraulic equipment, piping work, engineering valving procedures including design and construction. (rotary equipment, heat exchangers, fluid dynamics, heat transfer)

Experience with writing technical and operational procedures required.

Experience with equipment integration, interconnecting piping and constructability constraints is also a strong plus

Experience with P&ID's, I&C, BOM, hydraulic plans and profiles

Proficient with engineering design software (MicroStation, Auto CAD, Heat Transfer, etc)

Experience with PLC, testing communication over fiber optics, SCADA, CMMS is considered a PLUS.

Experience with MAYA Heat Transfer Software is also considered a STRONG PLUS

Working knowledge in Metal Corrosion and Cathodic Protection Systems

Strong ability to work on multiple projects, interact with project management and different engineering groups including field contractors.

Provide support and coordination as required for ongoing projects utilizing engineering principles.

Develop scoping documents, project components; prepare technical specifications and bid packages as required.

Evaluation of bid packages

QA/ QC on contracted design and installation work.

Technical support for new and retrofit projects. Review and approve mechanical/ electrical final drawings and release for manufacturing.

Strong Planning/ organizing skills as well as making decisions on timely manner.

Attention to engineering details and project close out documents

Responsible for updating Engineering Database upon project closing

Working knowledge with electrical transmission or distribution will help but not necessary. The candidate must demonstrate learning abilities while on the job.

Education:

MS or BS Engineering required.

Qualifications
