HealthLink Therapeutic Intervention Therapy is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing exceptional therapeutic services to clients in need of mental health and substance abuse support. This is a full-time remote position based in Austin, Texas, and offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.

This role is set in a remote work environment, enabling you to provide mental health support to clients across the community while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates the diverse needs of our clients. In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed therapists, educators, and case managers, all dedicated to fostering a positive recovery journey for those we serve.

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ mental health statuses, substance use histories, and treatment needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that encompass both mental health concerns and substance abuse issues, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
• Facilitate effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI).
• Collaborate closely with a diverse treatment team, integrating care strategies from physicians, nurses, and case managers to promote comprehensive support for each client.
• Educate and actively involve clients’ family members in their mental health and recovery processes to strengthen support systems.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, adhering to all regulatory and ethical guidelines to ensure the integrity of the treatment process.

This position primarily serves individuals with mental health disorders and substance use disorders, each on their unique journey towards recovery. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and many face co-occurring conditions that require customized treatment plans incorporating trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
• A bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in substance abuse treatment and mental health counseling.
• Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices addressing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong rapport with clients and collaborative relationships with team members.

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
• Additional training or certifications in addiction counseling or trauma-informed care.
• Prior experience in a community health setting or substance abuse treatment center.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.

• Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 based on experience and qualifications.
